Tamra Bottle is a small, independent online store based in Auckland, New Zealand. We sell one product: an unlined, hand-hammered copper water bottle in three sizes, 500ml, 750ml and 1L.
Who we are
Tamra is run from Auckland. We don't make the bottles ourselves. They are made for us by a copper supplier, and we sell them, answer every email and look after every order ourselves.
Where the name comes from
Tāmra is the Sanskrit word for copper. In Ayurvedic tradition, water kept overnight in a copper vessel is called tamra jal. We describe this as a cultural tradition. We make no health or medical claims about copper, or about water stored in copper.
